Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the technical SEO strategy for the business, in conjunction with the Head of SEO.
- Being a bridge between the SEO team and the web development team.
- Define standards and protocols for the business to follow in delivering SEO compliant websites, applications, plug-ins and systems for web functionality.
- Reviewing the website and looking to achieve continuous improvement and optimization for search engines.
- Working very closely with the web development team to ensure that all on-line development will have SEO as the foundation.
Technical Competencies
- Proven track record in an SEO-focused web development capability with a firm grasp of ASP, .NET, MSSQL, PHP, MySQL, CSS, XML, RSS and XHTML with emphasis on the Microsoft platform.
- Proven experience in relevant Microsoft development platforms i.e. ASP, .NET.
- A proven understanding of how search engines work and how to get websites to rank for highly competitive search terms.
- Thorough understanding of website development and architecture.
- Project management and program management skills.
